What does a creative copywriter do?

Writes… creatively.

Nah, we do more than that.

A creative copywriter isn’t some wild-haired, untamed, chaotic version of your traditional copywriter. Creative copy is still copy at the end of the day.

That means it’s still designed to connect, to call you to action.

However, creative copywriters are usually given more freedom to be, well, creative. This could mean writing copy that’s more daring, funnier or even riskier.

An example of creative copywriting for a client

Quite a lot of my work is hidden under NDA’s – but, here’s some work I did for the brilliant Damn Good Interiors.

I was given full reign to go bananas with the copy.

Their main aim was to stand out from the more ‘traditional’ appearance and makeup of interior designers, and be braver, bolder and unashamedly ‘different’.
